Resurrection complete: Shonen Jump promotional video raises hope for Gojo’s return in Jujutsu Kaisen

There’s a buzz going on among the crowd that follows Jujutsu Kaisen! It looks like Satoru Gojo, that character everyone loves, might be coming back. This all started with a promotional video for volume 25 of the manga, released by Shonen Jump’s official YouTube channel. The video summarizes the best moments of the manga and has a scene that caught attention: the fight between Gojo and Sukuna, where Gojo ends up losing his life.

People are speculating that Gojo could be resurrected. The clue is in the video, at 2:22 minutes, where text appears in Japanese that means “complete resurrection”. A theory that is popular among fans is that Gojo will sacrifice an eye to return to life, but he may lose his cursed energy.

This theory gained strength with a clip from Eve, the singer who wrote the anime’s first opening theme. In the clip “アヴァン(Avant)”, there are several references to Jujutsu Kaisen, including a scene with Gojo’s eyes with chains and, later, one of his eyes turns black, as if it had been destroyed. A social media user, @/BIGDADDYGOJO, said that this scene has to do with a cursed Gojo technique. In the manga and anime, there was already a feeling that Gojo could lose an eye, especially in the final fight against Sukuna.

But if Gojo is really going to come back, it has to be soon. Gege Akutami, creator of the series, said at Jump Festa last year that Jujutsu Kaisen could end in a year. And speaking of Jump Festa 2024, there were other cool news, like the new Hunter x Hunter fighting game and the trailer for Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3. Keep an eye out, things are getting good!
