Kemono Michi: Rise Up

“Kemono Michi: Rise Up” is an anime that brings a fresh and humorous twist to the Isekai genre. The story revolves around Genzo Shibata, a professional wrestler who is suddenly transported to a fantasy world by a princess. However, instead of embarking on a typical hero’s journey, Genzo, a lover of animals, decides to pursue his dream of opening a pet shop.

The anime stands out for its unique premise and comedic approach. Genzo’s love for animals and his wrestling background make for hilarious scenarios, such as when he suplexes the princess who summoned him. The humor is well-executed and doesn’t feel forced, making the series enjoyable to watch.

The characters in “Kemono Michi: Rise Up” are well-developed and add depth to the story. Genzo’s passion for animals and wrestling is endearing, and his interactions with the other characters, including the wolf-girl Shigure and the dragon-girl Hanako, are entertaining.

The animation quality is commendable, with vibrant visuals that match the lively atmosphere of the series. The character designs are appealing, and the animation remains consistent throughout the series.

Despite its comedic focus, “Kemono Michi: Rise Up” also includes subplots that add complexity to the story. These subplots, while dramatic at times, maintain the anime’s comedic touch.

However, the anime is not without its flaws. Some viewers may find the comedy during dramatic moments off-putting. But this unique blend of comedy and drama is what sets “Kemono Michi: Rise Up” apart from other animes in the genre.

In conclusion, “Kemono Michi: Rise Up” is a refreshing and entertaining anime that offers a unique take on the Isekai genre. Its blend of comedy, fantasy, and relatable characters makes it a must-watch for any anime lover.
