Synopsis
Souya Kuroi has dreams of people with superpowers fighting a massive dragon in the sky, but his real life is almost as weird. He's had amnesia for about two weeks and been taken in by a maid and an anthropomorphic cat. When a UFO in the shape of a stuffed bear approaches Sorimasaka City and other metros around the world, he's startled to see seven rainbow-sparkling heroes zoom out to confront it – just like in his dream. Even weirder, the maid wants him to leave his shelter to confront these heroes and take the source of their power.

Editor's Review
“Planet With” is a Japanese multimedia franchise by Satoshi Mizukami. The anime television series aired from July to September 2018. The story revolves around Sōya Kuroi, who lives with a large cat-like creature called Sensei and a happy maid named Ginko. One day, strange floating beasts appear in the sky above Japan, and conventional weapons are useless against them, until seven men and women transform into powerful weapons and destroy them. Sōya finds himself pressed into battle, fighting not against the beasts, but against the seven heroes instead, as he becomes an unwitting pawn in an interstellar war that has come to Earth.
The series is known for its mecha genre and has a unique plot that keeps the viewers engaged. The animation is top-notch, and the character designs are well-executed, adding to the visual appeal of the series. The series also boasts a compelling soundtrack that perfectly complements the narrative.
The characters in “Planet With” are rich and diverse, each with their own unique personalities and quirks. The protagonist, Sōya, is a high school-aged boy with amnesia who can barely remember what happened further than one year ago. He eventually regains some of his memories and realizes the members of Grand Paladin are using similar powers to the ones that led to the destruction of his home planet, Sirius, from which he is the only survivor.
Despite its seemingly absurd premise, “Planet With” manages to deliver a compelling narrative that keeps viewers hooked. The series explores themes of loneliness, pain, suffering, and the journey towards hope, making it a must-watch for any anime fan.
