Synopsis

Villainess Level 99: I May Be the Hidden Boss but I’m Not the Demon Lord is a fantasy comedy isekai anime based on the light novel series by Myōjin Katō. The anime follows the adventures of Akane, a high school girl who is reincarnated as the villainess of an otome game called “I Will Definitely Capture Your Heart”. However, instead of following the game’s plot, Akane decides to use her cheat skills and charisma to become the hidden boss of the game world, while avoiding the capture targets and the demon lord.
The anime is a hilarious and refreshing take on the popular isekai and otome game genres, with a strong and smart female protagonist who is not afraid to break the rules and have fun. The anime also parodies many tropes and clichés of the genres, such as the reverse harem, the common route, the bad endings, the character archetypes, etc. The anime does not take itself too seriously and delivers a lot of laughs and surprises along the way.
