Synopsis

Sentan Island is a small island surrounded by the Yuden Sea. It exists in a state of dreamlike tranquility, cut off from the war between the Northern Government and the Southern Continent Free Zone. Our hero, Akiyuki Takehara, lives on Sentan Island along with his mother Fusa. He is currently separated from his father, the town doctor Ryuzo, but the bond between father and son remains. One day, after taking Ryuzo the lunch that Fusa has made for him as usual, Akiyuki arrives at school, where he is caught up in an explosion along with his friends, Haru and Furuichi. The explosion produces a mysterious light, which enters Akiyuki's arm, causing him excruciating pain. He's given no time to understand it, however, as the white-haired girl who rode on the bus with him guides him to a power unlike anything he's ever known.

Xam’d: Lost Memories

“Xam’d: Lost Memories” is an anime series that aired from July 15, 2008, to February 4, 2009. The series consists of 26 episodes and is produced by Bones. The story revolves around a character named Akiyuki, who transforms into a creature known as Xam’d.

The series is set in a world where Akiyuki lives on Sentan Island, a place that exists in a state of dreamlike tranquility, cut off from the war between the Northern Government and the Southern Continent Free Zone. The narrative follows Akiyuki’s journey as he copes with his transformation and the changes it brings.

One of the strengths of “Xam’d: Lost Memories” is its unique premise and mesmerizing storytelling. The series offers a refreshing take on the fantasy genre, with a host of unique characters and a fast-paced plot. The series is praised for its beautiful animation.

However, despite its potential, “Xam’d: Lost Memories” has been criticized for its convoluted storytelling. Critics have pointed out that while the series is filled with exposition, it fails to convey a clear narrative. This issue is further exacerbated by the series’ dull story.

In conclusion, “Xam’d: Lost Memories” is a series with a lot of potential that unfortunately falls short due to its convoluted plot and lack of character development. While it may appeal to fans of the fantasy genre, it may not be the best choice for those looking for a coherent and engaging narrative. Despite its flaws, “Xam’d: Lost Memories” is a testament to the charm of its characters and is worth checking out for its unique take on the fantasy genre.
