O Official Twitter from the anime Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Onlinespin-off of Sword Art Onlinewhich adapts the light novel by Keiichi Sigsawa, revealed that the premiere of the new season will take place in 2024.
Additionally, the voice cast (seiyuu’s) were presented:
- Yōko Hikasa as Pitohui
- Chinatsu Akasaki as Fukaziroh
- Kazuyuki Okitsu as M
- Tomori Kusunoki as Llenn
The animation is by Studio 3Hz, directed by Masayuki Sakoi (Catious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious, Matoi the Sacred Slayer, Princess Resurrection). While the script is in charge of Yōsuke Kuroda (My Hero Academia, Trigun, Gundam Build Fighters, Mobile Suit Gundam 00) and character design by Yoshio Kosakai (The Marginal Service, Needless).
The first season of anime premiered in April 2018, with 13 episodes, and is available on Netflix with original audio and subtitles in Portuguese.
Synopsis for Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online
The story focuses on Karen Kohiruimaki, a young woman who is insecure about her large stature and has difficulty interacting with other people. Thus, she enters Gun Gale Online with an avatar called Llenn, who is short in stature and wears pink clothes. One day, the beautiful Pitohui pressures the young woman to participate in the “Squad Jam”, a Battle Royale selection in the Bullet of Bullets tournament.
