The official twitter of the anime series adaptation of the novel The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases written by Shin Kozuki and illustrated by Chocoan confirmed that the premiere will take place in 2024.
It was also revealed that the music will be the responsibility of Kei Haneoka (Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life, Owarimonogatari, Kaguya-sama: Love is War).
The animation is from Studio Deen with the collaboration of the studio Marvy Jack (the same studio duo as Nanatsu no Taizai 4), the direction is by Kazuomi Koga (Rent-A-Girlfriend), the story is of Yoshiki Okusa (Farewell, My Dear Cramer) and the character design is by Saori Hosoda (Phantom of the Idol).
Shouta Aoi (Makoto Hanzawa/Hanzawa-san in Detective Conan: The Culprit Hanzawa) will lend his voice to the protagonist.

The story takes place in a world where powerful “blessings and gifts from the gods” are given to those who have reached adulthood, and the “gifts” a person receives will determine their life. But Allen was unable to obtain any power, therefore he was ridiculed and despised and eventually exiled from his home. He decides to live a life of peace in a remote land. But what people don’t know is that Allen has memories (and powers) from his past life as a hero.
