It was announced today by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences that the film will be animated The Boy and the Crane (The Boy and the Heron) directed by the renowned director Hayao Miyazaki at the Studio Ghibli and the film Godzilla Minus One are nominated for the 2024 Oscars.
The Boy and the Crane will thus compete with Elemental, Nimona, Super Mario Bros. The film It is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse for the Oscar for best animated film.
Already Godzilla Minus One will compete with The creator, Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3, Mission Impossible – Reckoning: Part One It is Napoleon for the Oscar for Best Visual Effects.
The Japanese film by Wim Wenders, Perfect Days (Perfect Days), received a nomination for Best International Film.
The awards ceremony will take place at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood on March 10, 2024.
