You can see another trailer for the anime series adaptation of the manga above. The Fable in Katsuhisa Minami which premiered in April 2024 and is preparing to enter its second run (2nd part). In the video we can hear the opening theme “Switch” by Umeda Cypher and the ending theme “Beyond feat. Mari” by THERE.
It was also revealed that the following will join the cast:
- Shinshū Fuji as King Utsubo
- Chika Anzai as Hinako Saba
- Takehito Koyasu as Hiroshi Suzuki
- Kanemitsu as Tsutomu Isaki
With animation by the studio Tezuka Productions (Adachi to Shimamura, Kanojo mo Kanojo), the direction is Ryōsuke Takahashi (Armored Trooper Votoms, Phoenix, Ozma), the story is from Yūya Takashima It is Mayumi Morita (Black Jack, Vampire Knight), and the character design is by Hisama Kinoshita, Saki Hasegawa It is Junichi Hayama.
The Fable began to be published in November 2014 in Weekly Young Magazine and ended in November 2019. With 22 volumes, the manga was voted the best manga in Kodansha Manga Awards 2017.
Synopsis of The Fable

The original manga inspired two live-action films, which premiered in Japan in June 2019 and June 2021.
The manga continues, The Fable: The Second Contactbegan to be published by Katsuhisa Minami in July 2021 with its 8th volume released by Kodansha on August 4, 2023.
