The Idolm@ster Shiny Colors 2 will premiere in the anime season of fall 2024, after a theatrical release on July 5. A similar release model to the first season of also 12 episodes that was also transformed into 3 films that premiered in theaters in advance.
The first film will be shown from July 5 to 25, the second film from August 23 to September 12 and the third film from September 20 to October 10.
With animation by Polygon Pictures (Transformers: Robots in Disguise, Ajin, Knights of Sidonia), directed by Mankyū (Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls Theater, The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague) and the story is by Yoichi Kato (The IDOLM@STER Million Live!, Aikatsu!).
The IDOLM@STER Shiny Colors is a game that was released in April 2018. In the free-to-play game (with in-game purchases), players train idols and compete against other producers/players online in live shows. In addition to the game itself, the project has spawned concerts, merchandise, CDs, and radio shows.
