A “big announcement” was promised and this was fulfilled with the Kadokawa announcing that an anime series adaptation of the manga is in production The Shiunji Family Children (Shiunji-ke no Kodomo-tachi) by Reiji Miyajimathe author of the manga Rent-A-Girlfriend (Kanojo, Okarishimasu). You can see below an illustration by the author commemorating the announcement.
The Shiunji Family Children (Shiunji-ke no Kodomo-tachi) began publication on February 22, 2022 in the mangaka’s Fanbox and later, on February 25 in Young Animal. Its 3rd volume will be released on February 16, 2024.
The Shiunji Family Children (Shiunji-ke no Kodomo-tachi) went on hiatus in June 2022 so that Miyajima could maintain a constant drawing schedule, and the work returned in November 2022.

Synopsis of The Shiunji Family Children
The love between brother and sister. The love between man and woman. What is most prohibited is most inflexible. Rent-A-Girlfriend (Kanojo, Okarishimasu) by Reiji Miyajima It began publication on July 12, 2017 and its 35th volume will be released on February 16, 2024. Rent-A-Girlfriend inspired an anime series in July 2022 that had a second season in July 2022 and a third season in July 2023.
