Zoro’s technique is strong, but quite wasteful too. He must use three swords at once to maximize his power. Considering that his enemies are getting tougher, Zoro’s sword is expected to be of the same type Meito.
During his career, Zoro has used many swords. This is a list of Roronoa Zoro’s swords One Piece!
1. Bamboo Sword
Before starting to use a real sword, Zoro used a bamboo sword. If Zoro were told to use a bamboo sword now, it feels like he could still use it quite well, considering his childhood experiences.
2. Wado Ichimonji
Wado Ichimonji is a sword that is classified as 21 Oh Wazamono. Previously used by Kuina, Zoro has used this sword since the beginning of the One Piece series. This sword even managed to survive a clash against Yoru, one of the 12 Saijo O Wazamono. Dracule Mihawk’s mainstay sword.
The Wado Ichimonji sword was apparently forged by someone named Shimotsuki Kozaburo, a figure from Wano who left the country 50 years ago.
3. Unnamed sword
To complete his three-sword style at the start of One Piece, Zoro uses two unnamed swords to support Wado Ichimonji. These two swords were destroyed when Zoro pitted his Sanzen Sekai technique against Mihawk.
As a child, in the final duel against Kuina, Zoro also used two unnamed swords. It is not known whether these two swords were the ones that Zoro brought to fight Mihawk.
4. Johnny and Yosaku’s sword
While at Arlong Park, the only sword left for Zoro was Wado Ichimonji. He finally borrowed Johnny and Yosaku’s swords to fight Hatchan. Zoro had also used it against Arlong, but since this two-sword form was not his mainstay, he had been injured by Mihawk, and Arlong himself was strong, Zoro collapsed.
5. Yubashiri
Yubashiri is one of the 50 Ryo Wazamono. Given by Ipponmatsu, Zoro uses it from Loguetown to Enies Lobby. At the end of Enies Lobby, Yubashiri was destroyed because of the ability of Shu, a Marine, to make things rust. When used, Zoro comments that Yubashiri is very light.
6. Sandai Kitetsu
Sandai Kitetsu is a sword famous for its curse. Coming from the Kitetsu series, this sword had such a bad reputation that Ipponmatsu initially didn’t want to sell it.
Zoro eventually obtained the Sandai Kitetsu by testing his luck, by throwing the Sandai Kitetsu and betting on whether the sword would cut off his arm.
Even though Sandai Kitetsu’s rank is lower than Yubashiri, Sandai Kitetsu can still last longer than Yubashiri. Until the second round of Wano, Sandai Kitetsu still faithfully accompanied Zoro.
Uniquely, Zoro has met the creator of Sandai Kitetsu: Tenguyama Hitetsu, the swordsman from Wano.
7. Hana Arashi
This is magical. When Zoro was handcuffed with Usopp, he used Usopp as part of his sword. At that time, Usopp himself helped hold Yubashiri.
8. Shusui
The Shusui sword was handed over by the zombie Ryuma to Zoro after their duel. Initially, Shusui loyally accompanied Zoro without any problems. Then Zoro came to Wano, and Shusui’s reputation in his home country was so great that the sword was finally stolen by Gyukimaru.
For now, Zoro decides to return Shusui to Wano. But the Wano arc isn’t over yet, let’s see if it’s true that Zoro is permanently parting ways with Ryuma’s sword.
9. Enma
Submitted by Kozuki Hiyori, Enma is a unique sword. This sword is too strong and can dry out the user. Only a mighty swordsman can wield and defeat Enma. Can Zoro control Enma? If you look at Zoro’s fight against King, he’s starting to master this sword!
Just like Wado Ichimonji, Enma was created by Shimotsuki Kozaburo. So now Zoro has two Kozaburo swords in his collection.
That’s a list of Roronoa Zoro’s swords that he uses from start to finish. Is there a Roronoa Zoro sword that I missed? Tell us in the comments column!
