Tougen Anki anime series announced

With this trailer and promotional image the REMOVE announced that an anime series adaptation of the manga will premiere in 2025 Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise in Yura Urushibara.

In the cast we have:

Kazuki Ura as Shiki Ichinose, the protagonist who inherits the blood of an Oni. Shiki’s life turns upside down when he is suddenly attacked by a “Momotaro”, leading him to discover his true Oni heritage. After this revelation, he enrolls at Rasetsu Academy, a training school for Oni.

Hiroshi Kamiya as Naito Mudano, an instructor at Rasetsu Academy. Naito is a rationalist who despises inefficiency and waste.

Kōtarō Nishiyama as Jin Kougasaki, a classmate of Shiki’s at Rasetsu Academy who is always seen wearing a black mask. Jin has a contentious relationship with Shiki, marked by frequent confrontations and disagreements.

Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise began publication in Weekly Shōnen Champion in June 2022 and its 20th volume will be released on May 8th.

In the description of Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise we can read:

“You inherit the blood of an Oni (demon)…”

The bloodlines of “Oni” and “Momotaro” have been passed down between certain humans for generations. A long time ago, the Oni, aware of their own ferocity, lived in seclusion. However, their peace was destroyed by an invasion led by Momotaro. Over thousands of years, these two factions formed the “Momotaro Agency” and the “Oni Agency”, respectively, and have been in conflict ever since.

The protagonist, Shiki Ichinose, suddenly discovers his Oni lineage after an unexpected attack from Momotaro. This revelation sets Shiki on the path to discover the destiny that is in his blood – an encounter with the Oni that dwells within him.
