This trailer and promotional images for Make a Girla 3D anime film by Gensho Yasuda which should debut in the summer of 2024. The cast and staff were also revealed.

With animation by “Yasuda Gensho Studio by Xenotoon“, the direction is Gensho Yasuda, Yuichi Imaizumi is directing the sound in Sonilude It is Tsutomu Ueno is in charge of the sound effects. Kenichiro Suehiro (Cells at Work!, The Eminence in Shadow, Goblin Slayer, Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-) is composing the music and Kadokawa Animation is responsible for distributing the film.

Atsumi Tanezaki (Frieren in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End) will be the voice of #0, with Shun Horie (Kazuya Kinoshita in Rent-a-Girlfriend) as Akira. The voice of Salt, Akira’s previous robot project, has not yet been announced.

The story follows a high school student named Akira who invents an “artificial girlfriend” named Number 0. Yasuda and your studio Yasuda Gensho are creating the film in collaboration with studio 3D CG Xenotoon.

The anime Make a Girl is based on the 3D short “Make Love“, what Yasuda created on his own and aired on February 8, 2020. The two and a half minute short was selected as the winning work in the 29th CG Animation Contest, Japan’s oldest CG animation contest.

Make a Girl results from a public fundraiser that began on August 26, 2022 on Campfire with the goal of raising 10 million yen ($67,000). The campaign ended on October 31, 2022 with 23.7 million yen (160 thousand dollars).

Yasuda founded the Yasuda Gensho Studio in 2021, after working as a CG animator for Nitroplus. His independent shorts, created in Blenderare popular on Twitter and TikTok, with a combined 5.8 million followers.
