Trailer for Medalist anime series reveals premiere in January 2025

A Kadokawa posted online this first trailer for the anime series adaptation of the manga Medalist in Tsurumaikada where it is revealed that the premiere will take place in January 2025.

With animation by the studio Engi (Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!), directed by Yasutaka Yamamoto (Noblesse), the argument is Jukki Hanada (Love Live! Sunshine!!) and the character design is by Chinatsu Kameyama (In Another World With My Smartphone).

In the cast we have:

  • Natsumi Haruse as Inori Yuitsuka
  • Takeo Ōtsuka as Tsukasa Akeuraji
  • Kana Ichinose as Hikaru Kamisaki
  • Yūma Uchida as Jun Yodaka

Medalist It began to be published in May 2020 on Afternoon and its 8th volume was released on May 23, 2023.

The manga won the Best Overall Manga category at the 2023 Shogakukan Manga Awards. The manga was also nominated at Kodansha’s 47th Annual Manga Awards this year.

Synopsis of Medalist

Tsukasa, whose dreams were shattered. Inori, left to fend for herself. These two share a dream… and their tenacity may be the only thing that helps them. Their fate? Ice… on the world stage!
