A TOHO posted a new trailer online Gekijōban Haikyu!! Gomi Suteba at Kessen (Haikyu!! the Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump), the first of two films by Haikyu!! Final that will end the anime Haikyu!!. This first film will premiere on February 16, 2024.
Anyone who watches the film in Japanese cinemas will receive a book from “volume 33.5”. The book is limited to 2 million viewers. The book will have a new 16-page manga by the manga’s creator Haruichi Furudatecharacter illustrations, the storyboard for chapter 322, and questions and answers with Furudate.
A Toho Animation returns to produce both Haikyu!! Final with the animation continuing to be done by the team at Production I.G.. Susumu Mitsunaka (Haikyu!!’s first and third anime series) is directing and writing the film’s screenplay.
The first anime adaptation premiered in April 2014, the second season of the anime premiered in October 2015, the third season premiered in October 2016, and the 4th season premiered in January 2020.
The original manga by Haikyu!! per Haruichi Furudate It began publication on February 20, 2012 and ended in July 2020 with 402 chapters compiled in 45 volumes.
