With this first trailer Kadokawa announced that the anime series adaptation of the manga The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil (Oroka na Tenshi wa Akuma to Odoru) by Sawayoshi Azuma will debut in January 2024.
Below you can see a promotional image. It was also revealed that the opening theme is “Otowa” by “Taiyō to Odore, Tsukiyo ni Utae” and the ending theme is “Gift” by Kaori Ishihara.
With animation by the studio Children’s Playground Entertainment (in collaboration with GAINA), the direction and argument are by Itsuro Kawasaki (Cardfight!! Vanguard G NEXT, The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting), the character design is by Yūko Yahiro (Diabolik Lovers, Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and the music is by Takurō Iga (Oshi no Ko, Fuuka).
The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil (Oroka na Tenshi wa Akuma to Odoru) began publication in Dengeki Maoh in June 2016 and Kadokawa will release its 16th volume on October 26, 2023.
The romantic comedy follows Masatora Akutsu, who came to the human world looking for an idol for demons. Akutsu meets Lily Amane and invites her to join him. However, he discovers that Amane’s true identity is an angel and tries to disgrace her.
