Trailer reveals Kimi ni Todoke 3 premiere in August

With this trailer it was announced that the third season of the anime adaptation of the manga Kimi ni Todoke in Karuho Shiina will debut in August 2024 on Netflix. You can see a promotional image below.

This third season of Kimi ni Todoke will be called Kimi ni Todoke – From Me to You Season 3 (Kimi ni Todoke 3rd Season).

With animation by the studio Production I.G. (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Eden of the East), directed by Kenichi Matsuzawa (direction of episodes of The Prince of Tennis, The Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These), the script is Tomoko Konparu (NANA, Nodame Cantabile, Uta no Prince-sama – Maji Love 1000%) and the song was delivered to SENS Project (xxxHOLiC, My Love Story!!).

The cast is the same as the ones they join:

  • Miyuki Sawashiro as Ayane Yano
  • Yūko Sanpei as Chizuru Yoshida
  • Yūichi Nakamura as Ryū Sanada
  • Mamoru Miyano as Kento Miura
  • Yūki Ono as Kazuichi Arai (Pin)
  • Aya Hirano as Ume Kurumizawa

The manga of Kimi ni Todoke was released in Shueisha’s Bessatsu Margaret from 2006 to 2017 and compiled into 30 volumes. It won Best Shoujo Manga at Kodansha’s 32nd Annual Manga Awards in 2018, and was adapted into a 38-episode anime series from 2009 to 2011 and a live-action film in 2010.

The manga had a total of 125 chapters. The second season of the series was adapted up to chapter 46 of the manga, so the anime still has around 79 chapters to adapt.

Synopsis of Kimi ni Todoke

The manga follows the story of Sawako Kuronuma, a shy girl with a pale complexion and long hair who is nicknamed Sadako by her classmates (the character from the horror film “Ring”), however after meeting Kazehaya and with the help of some colleagues will be able to completely change your life.
