With this trailer the official site of the anime series adaptation of the manga Hey! Tonbo (Hey! Tonbo) Ken Kawasaki It is Yū Furusawa revealed that the premiere will take place on April 6th.
The animation is from the studio OLM (Pokémon, Inazuma Eleven) with CG animation being the responsibility of SMDEthe direction is Jin Gu Oh (Beyblade Burst GT, Beyblade Burst Sparking, Beyblade Burst QuadDrive, Beyblade Burst QuadStrike), the argument is Mitsutaka Hirota (Sweetness & Lightning, Anime-Gataris, Rent-A-Girlfriend) and the character design is by Akira Takeuchi (Naisho no Tsubomi, Inazuma Eleven GO). Tomoyuki Ishiyama is the director of photography. Masafumi Mima is the sound director. Nobuko Toda is composing the music.
The opening theme is “Habatake” (Spread Your Wings) and the ending theme is “Let’s Swing” by TOKYO GROOVE JYOSHI.

Synopsis of Hi! Tonbo (Hey! Tonbo)
The story begins with Igarashi, who was disqualified as a professional golfer after a certain “incident” and therefore moves to the Tokara Islands in Kagoshima Prefecture to get out of the spotlight. On these islands known as “Japan’s last unexplored wilderness”, he meets a naive girl named Tonbo.
It turns out that these supposedly unexplored islands have a homemade golf course, where Tonbo plays every day. She demonstrates genius-level prowess, making all kinds of shots with just a golf club. Igarashi is amazed by Tonbo’s talent, although he has doubts about her using just a bat. However, hidden deep in Tonbo’s heart lies a painful and sad past….
