Trailer reveals premiere date for Mysterious Disappearances anime series

With this new trailer the Kadokawa revealed that the anime series adaptation of the manga Mysterious Disappearances (Kaii to Otome to Kamikakushi, or, Mysteries, Maidens, and Mysterious Disappearances) by Nujima will premiere on April 10, 2024. In the video we can hear the opening theme “Hazard Symbol” by Yuyu and the ending theme “Shuku Some Shinzō” (Scarlet-Dyed Heart) by Nonoka Ōbuchi.

The anime will have a special online advance screening event in Japan on March 10. The event will feature the first three episodes of the anime and a talk show with the cast. Below is a new promotional image.

The animation is from the studio Zero-G (RikeKoi, Battery, Piace -Watashi no Italian-), the direction and argument are by Tomomi Mochizuki (Battery the Animation, House of Five Leaves, Twin Spica) and the character design is by Takuya Tani (Muv-Luv Alternative, Kōkaku no Pandora).

Synopsis of Mysterious Disappearances

The bizarre modern-day romance story follows Sumireko Ogawa, an aspiring writer who loves mysteries and works in a bookstore with a boy named Ren Adashino. They witness strange occurrences.
