Trailer reveals release date for The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup Semifinal

With this trailer and promotional image it was revealed that The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup Semifinal (Shin Tennis no Ōji-sama U-17 World Cup Semifinal), the sequel to The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup (Shin Tennis no Ōji-sama U-17 World Cup), will premiere on October 2, 2024.

The anime will focus on the Japan vs Germany semi-final and you can see the anime logo above.

10 years after The Prince of Tennis II the series The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup premiered in July 2022. The anime series has the same staff as The Prince of Tennis II Hyotei vs Rikkai Game of Futureso Keiichiro Kawaguchi (ISLAND) returns to direct the anime series on Studio KAI and MSCwith Akiharu Ishii to once again be the character designer and chief animation director, while Hirota Mitsutaka is once again responsible for the script. The cast is the same.

Students fought fiercely against each other in a national tournament. Now, 50 chosen representatives are battling it out as high school students again! The stage is the U-17 (under seventeen) Japanese Representative Training Camp. High school students have been invited for the first time to a camp known for producing the best Japanese tennis players. National champions from Seigaku, Hyotei, Rikkai, Shitenhoji… With all the rivals from the national tournament present, everyone is eagerly awaiting their reunion. At first, the high school students don’t expect much from their opponents, but the training camp isn’t so easy! Athletes with skills unmatched by those they’ve faced before and their mysterious coach appear before them. Faced with countless demanding challenges, can the high school students survive this meritocratic training camp? The new chapter of “Prince of Tennis” begins here! The curtain rises on a new stage.
