Trailers for The Fable anime series show opening and ending theme

Scheduled to premiere on April 6th, the official website for the anime series adaptation of the manga The Fable in Katsuhisa Minami put two trailers online where we can hear the opening theme “Professionalism feat. Prajñā” by THERE and the closing theme “Odd Numbers” by UmedaCypher.

With animation by the studio Tezuka Productions (Adachi to Shimamura, Kanojo mo Kanojo), the direction is Ryōsuke Takahashi (Armored Trooper Votoms, Phoenix, Ozma), the story is from Yūya Takashima It is Mayumi Morita (Black Jack, Vampire Knight), and the character design is by Hisama Kinoshita, Saki Hasegawa It is Junichi Hayama.

The Fable began to be published in November 2014 in Weekly Young Magazine and ended in November 2019. With 22 volumes, the manga was voted the best manga in Kodansha Manga Awards 2017.

Synopsis of The Fable

When you are the infamous “genius killer” in The Fable, many things are easy. Being a normal person, however, is not one of them. In fact, being told you can’t kill anyone for a while might be the hardest job you’ve ever done…

The original manga inspired two live-action films, which premiered in Japan in June 2019 and June 2021.

The manga continues, The Fable: The Second Contactbegan to be published by Katsuhisa Minami in July 2021 with its 8th volume released by Kodansha on August 4, 2023.
