Last month, the English localization of the Tsukihime visual novel remake was released for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch consoles, which was a source of joy for many visual novel fans.
And since the release of the English version of Tsukihime, it seems that TYPE-MOON’s legendary visual novel is doing very well here in the West, as Tsukihime has surpassed Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on Metacritic, the latest title in Square Enix’s acclaimed franchise.

At the time of writing, the romantic drama Tsukihime – A Piece of Blue Glass Moon has a score of 93 on Metacritic, while Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is at 92.
On Opencritic, both titles are tied with a score of 93, something that took many players by surprise considering the huge difference in audience between the two titles.
Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon is a visual novel by TYPE-MOON where the focus is on the two main routes of the heroines Arcueid Brunestud and Ciel.
The game was released in Japan on August 26, 2021, and released internationally on June 27, 2024 for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch consoles.
A second Tsukihime Remake title was also announced titled “Tsukihime -The other side of red garden” which will feature routes featuring heroines Akiha Tohno, Hisui and Kohaku, and Satsuki Yumizuka.
