Tsukihime’s classic visual novel is selling for 1.5 million yen

Around 300 copies of Tsukihime’s classic visual novel were sold for a thousand yen each at the 2000s Summer Comiket. That visual novel was Tsukihime: Half Moon Edition.

The game contained the ”Near Side of the Moon” route (Arcueid and Ciel) and featured a total of 400 graphics, 50 event graphics and 3,000 scenarios. And 17 copies were reprinted for the 2000 Winter Comiket.

There are few copies of this incomplete version of Tsukihime, the game can be considered a collector’s item due to its rarity. And this is precisely the game that recently went viral on Japanese social media.

A user posted on Twitter an image of a copy of this edition of Tsukihime selling for exactly 1,500,000 yen. See the image below:

Many people had doubts about whether this price was real or not, and so, in response to this tweet, another user posted a screenshot from a Japanese online store where we can confirm that this edition of Tsukihime is indeed being sold for this price.

Tsukihime is an eroge visual novel created and published by TYPE-MOON as a doujin work on December 29, 2000. It is written by Kinoko Nasu and illustrated by Takashi Takeuchi.

And first announced in 2008, a remake titled Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon– was released on August 26, 2021.
