In addition to this promotional image, the official website of the anime series adaptation of the BL manga Twilight Out of Focus (Tasogare Out Focus) by Jyanome revealed that the premiere will take place in July 2024. The staff and cast were also revealed.
The animation was delivered to Studio Deenthe direction is Toshinori Watanabe (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest), the argument is Yoshimi Narita (Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie, Wonderful Precure!) and the character design is by Yoko Kikuchi (Kuroko’s Basketball, Junjō Romantica).

Twilight Out of Focus Synopsis
Film enthusiast Mao Tsuchiya and his lone wolf roommate Hisashi Otomo make three promises:
- That Mao will never tell anyone that Hisashi is gay and has a boyfriend,
- That Hisashi will never approach Mao “that way” and
- That they will respect each other’s “private time.”
Sophomores’ ground rules should ensure a peaceful life together in their dorm, but reality is never as simple as it seems in the movies, and some things aren’t as easy to promise…
Twilight Out of Focus (Tasogare Out Focus) began to be published in Honey Milk in 2019 and its volume was released that same year in June. The second work in the series, a spinoff story titled Twilight Out of Focus 2: Afterimages in Slow Motion (Zanzō Slow Motion), was released in Japan in July 2020.
The original story continues in the third manga in the series, Twilight Out of Focus 3: Overlap (Tasogare Out Focus Overlap), released in Japan in August 2020. The fourth manga, Twilight Out of Focus 4: The Evening Monologues (Yoiyoi Monologue), presents a different story and was released in Japan in June 2021.
The fifth manga in the series, titled Twilight Out of Focus long take (long take of Twilight Out of Focus) will be released in Japan on July 12th.
