The event AnimeJapan 2024 is being held this weekend in Japan and was revealed at the panel for the anime series adaptation of the manga Undead Unluck in Yoshifumi Tozuka that the work will have an important announcement on August 1st.
The first season of the anime premiered in October 2023 and featured animation from the studio DavidProduction (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Cells at Work!), directed by Yuki Yase (Hidamari Sketch × Honeycomb, Mekaku City Actors, Monogatari Series), character design is by Hideyuki Morioka (Kizumonogatari, Maria Holic, Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei) and the music is by Kenichiro Suehiro (Goblin Slayer, Golden Kamuy, Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-).

Undead Unluck began to be published on January 20, 2020 and last year won the 6th edition of Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Awards.
Synopsis of Undead Unluck
The story follows Fūko Izumo, also known as the woman cursed with “bad luck.” Fūko brings misfortune to anyone who touches her and the scale is proportional to whoever maintains physical contact with her. However, she is saved by Andy, a man who cannot die (“Undead”), who longs to discover a way to use Fūko’s misfortune to finally die. The unlikely pair come together to complete the missions given to them by the Book of Revelations, if they fail, the book can punish humanity.
