Takeuchi has been affiliated with the voice talent agency 81 Produce since 2013. He received the Best New Actor award at the 10th Seiyuu Awards in 2016.
Takeuchi is best known for voicing Harumi Takeda in Senpai ga Uzai Kouhai no Hanashi (My Senpai is Annoying), Brawler in Akudama Drive, Producer in The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls, and Ryoken Kogami in Yu☆Gi☆Oh! VRAINS.
Outside of anime, Takeuchi voiced many characters in games and participated in the dubbing of various foreign films. He also produces music under the stage name Jack Westwood and is part of the musical duo AMADEUS.
