The anime series will premiere on television in spring 2024. Before the television premiere, the 12-episode anime will be shown in theaters as three films. The first film will be shown in Japan from October 27th to November 16th. The second film will be shown from November 24th to December 14th, and the third film will be shown from January 5th to 25th. The films will be shown in 75 cinemas in 47 prefectures across Japan.
With animation by Polygon Pictures (Transformers: Robots in Disguise, Ajin, Knights of Sidonia), directed by Mankyū (Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls Theater, The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague) and the story is by Yoichi Kato (The IDOLM@STER Million Live!, Aikatsu!).
The IDOLM@STER Shiny Colors is a game that was released in April 2018. In the free game (with in-game purchases), players train idols and compete against other producers/players online in live shows. In addition to the game itself, the project generated shows, products, CDs and radio programs.
