Why Was Guy Rejected as Anbu in Naruto? Here’s Why

Anbu is one of the professions that exist in the world Narutowhere this profession is very special and not all ninjas can do it.

There is even a moment when a character who is actually very strong but was rejected from entering Anbu, namely Might Guy, what is it really like?

1. Might Guy once offered to become an Anbu to accompany Kakashi so he wouldn’t take the wrong path.

When Kakashi was left by the people closest to him, starting from his father, Obito (he thought dead), Rin (who he was forced to kill), then Minato, his teacher, Kakashi became even darker.

In addition to his increasingly serious characteristics, Kakashi also joined the Anbu which according to his classmates could make him take the wrong and bad path, making him even darker.

Because of that, as his rival and friend, Might Guy had offered to join Anbu, both Konoha and Root versions, but he was rejected by both! Why is that?

2. Might Guy is too cheerful, noisy, and kind-hearted, not suitable to work as an Anbu.

Anbu is a profession in Naruto where they have to do various dirty jobs and secretly of course.

The type of work is like carrying out assassination missions, reconnaissance missions, or similar secret missions.

Of course they have to be calm ninjas and act like ninjas who attack silently. Does Might Guy pass this basic Anbu criteria? The answer is clearly no.

Might Guy is one of the loudest and most enthusiastic characters in Konoha village, imagining him as an Anbu feels strange.

3. According to Danzo, Guy is not “dark” enough and is still full of “emotions”.

Danzo rejected Might Guy for only one reason, namely that Might Guy was not a dark person and was not suitable for the Root Anbu.

Apart from that, Guy is also full of “emotions”, what I mean here is not being angry, but it is related to the second point, namely that Guy is still full of enthusiasm, expressive, and has a good heart which is not suitable.

Of course because for Danzo, Anbu should not have emotions, they should be flat and do their mission as a life goal, there should be no other feelings. Of course Guy once again does not fit this criteria.

So that’s the reason why Might Guy can’t be an Anbu. Maybe in terms of strength he’s worthy, but from other criteria such as the attitude as an Anbu who has to carry out secret missions, Guy is clearly not suitable.
