Why Was the Sun Breathing Technique Disappeared in Kimetsu no Yaiba?

Kenapa Teknik Pernapasan Matahari Sempat Hilang di Kimetsu no Yaiba?

Sun Breathing is the very first Breathing technique in Kimetsu no Yaiba.

But while the Breathing of its descendants persisted for a long time, the Breathing of the Sun was lost for a time.

Why is that? This is the reason!

1. From the beginning, not just anyone could do Sun Breathing.

From the beginning, Sun Breathing was difficult. Not just anyone could master it.

Even Yoriichi’s twin brother, Michikatsu, couldn’t.

Other Breathing Techniques, such as Fire Breathing, were created because Yoriichi modified the technique to suit the people he was teaching.

2. After that Kokushibo and Muzan hunted down the Sun Breath users.

After Muzan nearly dies because of Yoriichi, he and Kokushibo hunt down other Sun Breath users.

Look at Kimetsu no Yaiba Only Tanjiro can do Sun Breath, the massacre carried out by Kokushibo and Muzan in the past feels successful.

3. Even though Muzan and Kokushibo slaughtered the users of Sun Breath, this Breath was secretly taught down through the generations in the Kamado family.

The Sun Breathing Technique was lost because Muzan and Kokushibo slaughtered its users.

Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the strongest Sun Breathing user, himself eventually died of old age in his final battle against Kokushibo. (Although Kokushibo himself nearly died in that confrontation, showing his strength).

However, it turns out that Sun Breathing was passed down in the Kamado family under the name Hinokami Kagura.

Sumiyoshi, Tanjiro’s ancestor, turns out to be Yoriichi’s acquaintance.

Yoriichi even gave his signature earrings to Sumiyoshi, and then the earrings became an heirloom that was passed down from generation to generation until it reached Tanjiro.

Sumiyoshi also had the chance to see Yoriichi’s Sun Breathing movement, and he remembered all the details perfectly. Therefore he was able to teach his descendants.

Hinokami Kagura was then inherited in the Kamado family until it reached Tanjiro.

If you ask why the Sun Breathing is so Hinokami Kagura, Kagura is a Shinto ritual dance.

When Tanjiro saw Yoriichi through Sumiyoshi’s memories, in chapter 192 he said that Yoriichi was more like a spirit than a human when he performed his movements.

Tanjiro then understood why the dance was passed down as Kagura see how Yoriichi performs his sword moves.

It is possible that the Kamado family escaped the hunt for Sun Breath users by Muzan and Kokushibo because Sun Breath was passed down under the name Hinokami Kagura.

Because when Muzan finally slaughtered the Kamado family, he did it for a different reason. (As an experiment to create a demon that could survive the sun).

4. In the end, even though Muzan and Kokushibo managed to destroy the Sun Breath users, Muzan still had to face this technique again.

Even though Muzan and Kokushibo had destroyed many Sun Breathing users in the past, in the end he ended up having to face another user of this technique: Tanjiro.

Tanjiro also put up an extraordinary fight against Muzan in the final battle. Kimetsu no Yaiba That.

So that’s the explanation of why the Sun Breathing technique was lost. Kimetsu no Yaiba.
