The official website of the adaptation for anime from the manga Acro Trip by Yone Sawata, which premieres in 2024, released a trailer and a new promotional image. The video reveals the production cast and voice cast.
The animation is by studio Voil, directed by Ayumu Kotake (assistant director of Pet). While the script is by Sinichi Inotsume (PERSONA 5 the Animation) and character design by Toshie Kawamura (Yes! Precure 5).
In the voice cast (seiyuu’s), we have:
- Miku Itō as Chizuko Date: An otaku girl obsessed with the magical girl Berry Blossom.
- Nobunaga Shimazaki as Chrome: leader of the evil organization Fossa Magna, enemy of Berry Blossom.
- Inori Minase as Berry Blossom/Kaju Noichigo: the magical girl who protects Chizuko’s city from any threat and danger.
- Kengo Kawanishi as Mashirou: the magical mascot that supports the Berry flower.
Acro Trip It began to be published in Ribon in 2017 and will be completed in the next edition of the magazine, which will be released on December 1, 2022.
Acro Trip Synopsis
The comedy story revolves around Chizuko Date, an otaku girl who lives in a town in Niigata Prefecture. Chizuko obsesses over Berry Blossom, the magical girl who protects the city. However, Chroma – the leader of the local evil organization Fossa Magna – is inept and weak, so almost no one cares about Berry Blossom and Chroma’s frequent battles. So, Chizuko promises to shine a light on the magical girl’s exploits – and this fervent desire leads this seemingly shy high school student down a dark path full of strange people…
