Given’s 2nd film is scheduled for release in Japan

The manga adaptation of Given in Natsuki Kizu that the second anime film of the work was released in Japanese cinemas. The film, titled Given: Umi heis scheduled to debut in Japanese autumn 2024.

The first feature, titled Eiga Given: Hiiragi mix. Centimillimentalopened in Japanese theaters in January 2024.

Kizu started publishing Given in April 2013. The manga inspired an anime series adaptation in July 2019 and an anime film on August 22, 2020 in Japan. An OVA accompanied the 7th volume of the manga in December 2021 and its 8th volume was released in October 2022.

A live-action series adaptation of the manga premiered on the FOD (Fuji TV On Demand) streaming service in July 2021.

With animation by the studio Lerche (Unbreakable Machine-Doll, Assassination Classroom), directed by Hikaru Yamaguchi (director of Escha Chron, episodes of Mr. Osomatsu, Battle Spirits Double Drive) and the story is by Yuniko Ayana (BanG Dream!, Girls Beyond the Wasteland).

The story revolves around Ritsuka, who plays the guitar, but has lost interest in the instrument. One day, he meets Mafuyu, who is holding a broken guitar. Ritsuka starts teaching Mafuyu, but when he hears Mafuyu’s voice, things suddenly start to change for Ritsuka.
