It was announced today that a second season of the anime series adaptation of the manga is in production. Chained Soldier (Mato Seihei no Slave), written by Takahiro and illustrated by Youhei Takemura. You can see a video with the ad above and a promotional image below.
The first season with 12 episodes premiered in January 2024. The animation is by the studio Seven Arcs (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, White Album, Trinity Seven), Junji Nishimura (Dog Days) is the chief director, the direction is Goro Kuji (episodes of The Lost Village, Bungo and Alchemist -Gears of Judgment-), the script is by Yasuhiro Nakanishi (KAGUYA-SAMA: LOVE IS WAR) and the character design is by Hiroyuki Yoshii (Tawawa on Monday).

Mato Seihei no Slave (Slave of the Magic Capital’s Elite Troops) began publishing in Shonen Jump Plus in January 2019. Takahiro is the author of Akame ga KILL! and also contributed the original concept for Yuki Yuna Is a Hero and for the composition of the story of Release the Spyce.
Synopsis of Mato Seihei no Slave
When portals to a different dimension known as “Mato” appear across Japan, a new resource known as “Peaches” is discovered, which grants unique abilities only to women. However, dangerous monsters called “Yomotsu Shuuki” also haunt the Mato and are responsible for several disasters since then. To combat them, the government formed the Anti-Demon Corps, an elite group of women who received power from the “Peaches”.
One day, a high school student named Yuuki Wakura was returning from school when he suddenly got lost at the entrance to Mato. When he calls for help, he is immediately rescued by Kyouka Uzen, the head of the Anti-Demon Corps’ Seventh Unit. Recognizing her potential and also needing it to make her power more effective, she asks Yuuki to join the Anti-Demon Corps by becoming her slave, a position he may find more enjoyable than he initially thought…
