Synopsis
The fictional Japanese city named Sugomori City is built on reclaimed land. But as the years go by, the city's population is decreasing. One day, Sonosaki tells her classmate Katsuhira: "You have been selected to be a Kiznaiver." The Kizuna System, which allows Katsuhira to share his wounds, connects him to the classmates whose lives and personalities completely differ from his. The Kizuna System is an incomplete system for the implementation of world peace that connects people through wounds. All those who are connected to this system are called Kiznaivers. When one Kiznaiver is wounded, the system divides and transmits the wound among the other Kiznaivers.

Editor's Review
“Kiznaiver” is an anime that is both stylish and colorful, almost to the point of being blinding. However, behind Trigger’s beautiful visuals, there isn’t much else besides an extraordinarily average, yet somewhat enjoyable anime. It is certainly a noticeable step down from their previous work, “Kill la Kill”.
The series tries hard, but in the end, it crumbles under its own ambition. It is a potpourri of ill-advised confessionals that transformed itself into a deformed, blubbering mess. There’s very little in the way of actual characterization for these mouthpieces with legs, so expecting them to divulge genuine feelings for each other just comes across as half-assed.
Despite these criticisms, “Kiznaiver” is still a good introduction to the franchise. The anime is top-notch, and both the subbed and dubbed versions are enjoyable. However, the manga of “Kiznaiver” tells a much more complete story.
In conclusion, “Kiznaiver” is a series that had potential but was ultimately let down by its execution. Its unique premise, engaging characters, and high-quality animation make it a series worth watching. However, viewers should be prepared for some frustrating character behaviors and a narrative that may not meet their expectations.
