Synopsis

Kyo Nukui is one of those shut-ins you hear about sometimes. He never goes to school, or even leaves the house. Instead, he composes music all day, uploading it to the internet for a few views. One day out of the clear blue, he gets an email from what sounds like an older, distinguished gentleman who wants to discuss music face-to-face. Having no one to speak to about his passion, Kyo accepts the invitiation... only to find himself facing down three elementary school girls! They're fans of his music, and they want his help to hold a concert at their orphanage. The girls prove to be good musicians in their own right and have excellent equipment, but is Kyo a good enough producer?

Editor's Review
Tenshi no 3P!

“Tenshi no 3P!” is a unique anime that offers a fresh and modern take on the music genre. The story revolves around Kyou Nukui, a high school student who has not attended a single class since entering high school. Instead, he spends his days locked in his bedroom composing music and posting it on the internet accompanied by his only friend’s drawings, an artist with the pseudonym “Kiriyume”.

One day, Kyou hesitantly uploads his newest composition, and first departure from his typical style of music. Shortly after, he receives an anonymous email, praising his work and asking him to produce more. Encouraged by the positive feedback, Kyou decides to continue his craft. However, he soon discovers that the anonymous email was not as innocent as it seemed.

The email leads him to a secluded park where he stumbles upon an unexpected sight: three elementary school girls practicing for a band performance. These girls are huge fans of Kyou’s music and ask him to help them improve their performance. Despite his initial reluctance, Kyou eventually agrees to help them, marking the beginning of an unexpected friendship and a journey into the world of music.

“Tenshi no 3P!” stands out for its unique blend of comedy, drama, and music. The series explores the complexities of friendship and the transformative power of music. It also delves into the psychological aspects of its characters, offering a nuanced portrayal of their struggles and triumphs.

One of the strengths of “Tenshi no 3P!” is its character development. Kyou’s transformation from a reclusive high school student to a mentor for these young girls is depicted convincingly. His journey towards understanding friendship and the power of music is portrayed realistically, making it easy for viewers to empathize with him.

The anime also features a diverse cast of supporting characters, each with their unique personalities and motivations. Their interactions add depth to the story and provide plenty of comedic moments.

However, reviews suggest that “Tenshi no 3P!” may not be for everyone. Some viewers have criticized it for its storytelling, character development, and production quality. Others have praised it for its clever use of humor and its depiction of the team’s struggle to work around policies, laws, and government officials.

In conclusion, “Tenshi no 3P!” offers a unique perspective on friendship in a world where music brings people together. It combines elements of comedy, drama, and music to create an entertaining narrative. Whether you’re a fan of music-themed anime or interested in stories about friendship and personal growth, “Tenshi no 3P!” might be worth checking out. However, potential viewers should be aware that opinions on the series are mixed.
