If you are a fan of the manga Tales of Wedding Rings (Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari) by Maybe, or if you are looking for a new fantasy romance anime to watch, you will be excited to know that the anime series adaptation has been announced and confirmed.

Tales of Wedding Rings is a manga series written and illustrated by Maybe, the duo behind other popular manga such as Dusk Maiden of Amnesia and To the Abandoned Sacred Beasts. The manga started serialization in Monthly Big Gangan magazine from Square Enix in March 2014 and has 14 volumes as of December 2023.

The anime series adaptation is produced by Staple Entertainment, the studio behind Kinsou no Vermeil, with direction by Takashi Naoya, who also directed Real Girl, script by Deko Akao, who also wrote After the Rain, and character design by Saori Nakashiki, who also worked on The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!

The anime series will consist of 12 episodes that will be released in a single Blu-ray volume. The release date has not been announced yet, but it is expected to be in 2024.

The anime series will follow the story of Satou, a high school boy who is in love with his childhood friend and neighbor, Hime, a stunning but mysterious beauty who came from another world. When Hime returns to her home world to get married, Satou follows her and crashes the wedding. He then discovers that Hime is a Ring Princess and he is the Ring King, a hero who can wield the power of the wedding rings. Together, they embark on an adventure to save the world from the Dark Lord and his minions, while also dealing with their feelings for each other.
